Cans and can'ts

Right now, I'll be focusing on making arrangements of pieces from the Kingdom Hearts series. If you have any ideas or vibes you're going for, I ask that you describe them to me as well as you can, so I can answer earnestly if I think I can do it in your vision or not.
What I CAN commission:
Original arrangements intended for specific instrument combinations (ex: I would like an arrangement of Aqua's theme for Saxophone, Cello, and Clarinet)Arrangements of pieces intended by specific difficulty levels. Please note that specifying what keys you have ease playing on can help immensely in this. Giving examples of sheet music you can play, can more or less give me an idea of how complicated the arrangement can get.Original arrangements that mesh specific character, world, or event themes and motifs (ex: I'd like an arrangement that starts off by playing the Organization motif, leads into "Roxas", and utilizes elements from Xion's theme throughout)Solo arrangements of melodies intended for a specific instrument to play (ex: A solo version of "Rowdy Rumble" for violin... actually, I don't think anyone would ever want that, but I technically CAN do it)Create original arrangements with parts inspired by specific version of tracks (Something that sounds a bit like the x version of y track!)I can also let my heart be my guiding key and add a bit of my own ideas to your requests, if I find they fit well! Of course, these can always be changed at your request as well.Arrangements intended to be the same as the in-game versions. Please note that in this case, it may be impossible to have an exact 1:1 match.
I will NOT engage on the following, so please do not ask:
Commissioning transcriptions of Piano Collections arrangements or other arrangements that can be purchased officially from Square Enix, or commission anything that could count as such.Commissioning transcriptions of other people's fan arrangements, or creating alternate sheet music for specific fan arrangements that do not belong to me (unless authorized or requested by the artist themselves)Jazz, or very specific ethnic genres. Don't ask, but I just can't do jazz lmao. Asking for like, a couple of jazzy vibes here and there, MAYBE. But I will not be able to make a full fledged jazz arrangement for you, sorry!Transcribing electronic music... Basically, it's just not my specialty. I can try replacing electronic elements with something, else, but it'll have to be discussed. If you're searching for a more electronic direction in the arrangements, I'm not your dude.For now, I will not be doing commissions that include mixing, performing, or publishing any of this work. All of the work will go into the arrangement and engraving of the sheet music.I'm like... bad at doing sheet music for drums and most percussions as well, so I wouldn't request anything like that!

Payment and pricing

Payments will be received through Paypal, and prices will be discussed and decided in private depending on the amount of work and time an arrangement takes. Please send me a DM on Twitter (Clicking the Twitter icon below) to discuss these!

Different kinds of arrangements will merit different prices! In general, the more parts(instruments), and the longer you request the arrangement to be, the more expensive the commission will be. I estimate a solo arrangement of a melody, per example, transcribed for a single instrument, can be as cheap as 10$ (And even cheaper, depending on the case!), while a full orchestral arrangement with more than 10 parts can go as expensive as 100$ or more. In the end, each case will depend on how difficult of a job it is for me.

TERMS

If you have a problem with any of these terms, they may be changed if discussed with me prior to paying for your commissioned piece.



1. GENERAL TERMS

All sheet music will have my username (Kinode) or real name (Felipe Dias) listed as the arranger, as well as credits to the original composer, and both Square Enix and Disney.


If agreed with the customer, I may choose to share a commissioned arrangement publicly, including using them on my own Youtube channel and monitizing them.


Prices are subject to change based on demand.


I have the right to reject any order that I do not feel comfortable with for any reason.


A costumer who purchased an arrangement is allowed to use the sheet music, to, per example record their own cover or remix and monitize the video. In absolutely no circumstance are you allowed to resell, alter the music sheet or any of the text in them, or profit from them directly. I also ask that the midi file, if shared with you, does not be sold.
Basically, you can profit with the music. But do not profit from the sheet music itself.


2. PAYMENT

Currency accepted is either USD or Brazilian Reais and can be paid through ONLY through Paypal.


Commissions must NOT be payed upfront, or before I specifically request the payment. I will begin working on them after agreeing on a price with the costumer. This price may be subject to slight change (either rise or fall!) as I find more difficulties or ease with the arrangement than imagined. After halfway done, and when I can guarantee I can finish the commission, I will ask that you send me the full agreed value on my Paypal.




3. PROCESS AND DELIVERY

I will notify you when I have started on your commission. After the payment, I will not be accepting refunds. Sorry!


While I'm working on your commission I may make reviews with you to make sure I make it just right for you!


The amount of reviews depends on the complexity of the work.


During the reviews, if before the payment, I will avoid sharing images of the sheet music, instead using midi previews to make sure with you it sounds okay.


Deadlines will vary from case to case and I will inform each costumer privately on my estimate for them, but they will be subject to change.


If anything comes up that will slow the progress of the initially estimated delivery time I will let you know asap.


Once the piece is finished you will receive either a PDF of each seperate part (and one of all in the same page) or a private link to the musescore page where the sheet (mid, mp3, and pdf) will be hosted. Note that there is no physical product.




4. REVISIONS

A fee may be added if you want something changed on the final product - unless a misunderstanding from my side has been made.


If you wish for me to change something in the arrangement you have previously approved, I will charge you a fee to change it, depending on the scale of the change. I ask that no changes be requested after the payment has been given.



5. COPYRIGHT / USAGE POLICY

I, Felipe Dias (the artist), claim the rights to the produced sheet music, not the buyer. Therefore I am allowed to use the copyrighted sheet music to:


Promote myself with it everywhere


Publish books with it


Display it everywhere to my liking (website, social media, etc.)


Post it wherever I want



The buyer is allowed to:


Use the commissioned sheet music for personal use unless agreed otherwise (you can upload it on all your social media profiles, forums, etc, but ONLY for free)


Print the sheet music and claim any audio produced with its assistance as your own, but not the sheet music itself.


Use the produced music to promote themselves. You are not forced to give me credit when you post it but it is very appreciated.


Use the music produced with the assistance of the sheet music on their Youtube channel and in monetized videos as long as the MUSIC SHEET itself is not the main subject for the earnings. Do not monitize the music sheet, only the music you make from it.



The following is considered copyright infringement:


Reproducing/using the copyrighted sheet music commercially - means making money off it in any way.


Claiming the arrangement as your own


Removing my, or any of the copyright holders' names from the sheet music


Altering the sheet music without my consent

Do not upload any covers made from these arrangements to spotify, or other streaming services in which you could face legal trouble for doing so, unless you have the permissions of the original copyright holders on the music.

I reserve the full rights to the sheet music and it's use/distribution unless otherwise agreed upon.





6. CUSTOMER SATISFACTION

I will do everything I can to make my customers happy!


If you have a problem with anything in regards to the commissioned piece please tell me right away so we can find a solution together.


I am willing to change some of my terms for you if you ask before I start on your commission. If you, e.g., do not want me to post your commissioned arrangement anywhere, we can discuss this.





7. REFUND / CANCELLATION POLICY

The buyer is not allowed a refund once they have payed for the commission


If for any reason I am unable to finish your commission you will receive a full refund. If i am unable to start, you will never even be charged.


If you cancel your order before I started it, you can get a full refund.


If you are getting a refund, do not request a Paypal chargeback. I will transfer the money back to you myself.


If you request a Paypal chargeback at any point when you were not allowed to ask for a refund you will lose all beforementioned rights to the commissioned piece and I will have the full right to profit further from it in any way. I will decline the chargeback and supply Paypal with our conversations in which we talk about the commission as evidence that I have completed work for you. Furthermore, you will be blacklisted for commissioning me again.




If the buyer breaks any of the points stated above they will lose all the beforementioned rights to the artwork commissioned by me, Felipe Dias (the artist), and I will have the right to profit further from the commissioned artwork in any way I see fit. If you have a problem with any of these statements, they may be changed if discussed with me prior to paying your commissioned piece.




What do you get?

Mockup midi recordings of work in progress, so that you know if I am taking the arrangement in the right direction.


Pdf, mp3, and midi files of whichever instrument parts you request.


Insight and involvement in the creation of the piece.
